Also known as Common Heather or Ling. Heather flowers have been used for making ales, with use dating back to as early as 2000 B.C. Traditionally, a tea made of heather was also used for the kidneys and urinary tract. More scientific evidence is needed to rate the effectiveness of heather for these uses.
