With the help of the beer tasting panels from Brewing Research International, a new premium low colour roasted caramel malt with defined flavour was developed for lager brewing. The HGCA Enterprise award has enabled the production of a low colour malt, involving twelve months’ extensive pilot malting and brewing trials at BRI, followed by commercial malt production at French and Jupps.
